Might it be a good idea to include in the Bird Photo Corner within "Announcement: Posting your photos" section a wee bit on HOW TO post an image? Since it is not found in FAQ or another obvious space, this stumper seems to come up quite often.

Just a thought. Thx.

I agree.  Although I haven't scoured the whole forum yet, I tried to post some photos and failed horribly.  LOL.

I have a Flickr account ... is this the best way?

NOTE:  Just found this thread - http://outdoorontario.net/birds/phpBB/v ... .php?t=165.    That helps!!

hi guys

If you already have a flicker account or other online photo share account

this is the syntax without the underlining.

this is what it would look like

for a url link

it is  http://past the http link here

and this is what it will look like when you submit your thread

It is easier to just click on the img button  once, paste yur link then hit the img button again

You can also set up an account here and link to it  See photo gallery at the  top of page

Very good idea! I see this question asked over and over. I suggest you send a message to the moderator for the Bird Photo Corner, Koda, so that he can set up a "Sticky" post at the head of the forum.

Also, my personal preference is to have thumbnail-sized photos included in the post so that users don't have to click on one or several links and browse an external site to see what is actually in the photographs. In fact I tend not to look at photos which are not immediately visible. Well, this may be a matter of taste perhaps. One can have it both ways actually. Both an included thumbnail, and a link to an external website. For an example, see this topic. It is implemented like this

Code: [Select]

A note should be made also about limiting the size of included thumbnails, so that the posts load swiftly in your browser.
