Checked out this very large park for about 30 mins. located  at the corner of Mississauga Rd and Dundas St. - with the Credit River running through it .
Seems like a prime place for birding . It also  has a good bike path
Saw  warblers , gold finches , a red tailed hawk which swooped down over me , some mallards , and barn swallows nesting in the rafters of any open picnic shelter .
It will probably be loaded with picnicers during the weekends .
Regards,
Jim

Jim ... I have literally visited Erindale Park hundreds of times!  An excellent place for bird and wildlife sightings.  :D  The backwoods on each side of the river are definitely worth checking out as well.

Check out the pond just South of Burnhamthorpe on East side of trail - lots of frogs and turtles there at the moment.  Usually there are muskrats there also - one year, lucked out and saw the babies.  So thrilling!

And then there's Riverwood Park and Sawmill Valley Trail.

btw - do you visit Rattray Marsh since you live so close to it?

Jo-Anne ,
Thanks - I will definitely spend some time further exploring Erindale, Riverwood and Sawmill .
I visit Rattray at least once a week mostly during the weekends, park at the Greenglade school lot and go right down to where the marsh feeds into the lake . See lots of different birds and wildlife here also.
The walk is a pretty good exercise as well.
Just bought a camera and once I learn to use it I will start posting photos
Regards,
Jim

Jim ... lucky you, getting to go there that often!  Rattray Marsh is SO beautiful, truly a wonderful place to walk through.   I usually enter Rattray through the end of Bexhill.

Have the Baltimore Orioles made an appearance yet?  :D

Jo-Anne ,
Haven't seen Baltimore Orioles this year as yet - perhaps this weekend. With the recent hummers sightings being reported, I put out 2 backyard feeders today.

Jim
