Near as I can tell from checking from guides I'm thniking this is a Rough Legged.
Am I correct or is it another, maybe a juv. something?

I use a Rebel XT and the Canon 100-400.

Heres a couple more and why I wasn't sure about a RT.

This was one of the first images as it came in to land.

I have  trouble IDing hawks at the best of times and had thoughts about it possibly being a juvenile. I'll take that as a step in the right direction :)

This time of the year in southern Ontario, it's a pretty safe bet that most large hawks you see (especially perched) is a Red-Tail Hawk.

For Juv's, the belly-band usually does id's it for me. The leading dark edge on the wings is also an easy ID, it's not obvious in the photo's here, but usually easy to see in flight.
