Hey!!

On the way home tonight or around 4:15 pm I spotted what looked like a Rough leg Hawk near Creditview Rd. Along the 403.

dark body, dark underwing pattern, little patches of white on top of wing.. Wingtips looked "Kite" like..

Meanwhile at home after supper a Rose Breasted Grosbeak was found sitting in the tree above the feeders. It sat patiently while I put some seed in.

Then went for the seeds. Not before I snapped a few

YES! 7am today a male rose-breasted grosbeak on the nyger feeder. He stayed 15 mins.
The A. goldfinches and house finches seemed a bit put out.

I meant to mention that this was the first time in my backyard. I've been at this house (Brampton) 27 years.

Thanx

Hey Margaret.. Them Grosbeaks really like black oil seed. That is all I use now! Most of my visitors seem to enjoy it..

Grosbeak season (GTA) Northbound is  about May 1 to about May 20 th..

We got to see them last year for the first time with Juvies in July and August Just West of Midland.

Sorry for the delay. Napper is a busy boy.

long weekend and were stuck at home grumph!
