It was a beautiful morning and, although the Palms seemed to have moved on, I found nine warbler species as well as some other very nice birds. Many of the warblers were singing. All in all, great urban birding. Here are the warblers and a few others of note:

Yellow Warbler
Bay-breasted Warbler
Magnolia Warbler
Blackburnian Warbler - a real beauty
Cape May Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler - numerous
Northern Parula

Warbling Vireo
Baltimore Oriole
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
White-throated Sparrow
White-crowned Sparrow
Wood Thrush - a real surprise
Chimney Swift
American Goldfinch
Blue Jay

Hi BC,

Very nice report for Downtown Toronto, hope you find a lot more surprises there in the days ahead, thanks for sharing.

Wow, I'm amazed you saw that much in Queen's Park.  I work at Bay and Bloor and never thought to check out Queen's Park for birds.  I may take a walk over there tomorrow if I'm not too busy.  Any particular areas that you've found are better than others?

I was there this morning and it was fairly quiet but I still had five warbler species. In my experience, the best spring spots the last few years are the big deciduous trees east of the monument all the way to the street and the pines just south of the monument. Good luck.

I stopped by on the way to work from 8:30-9.  I didn't have as much luck as you - I'm still pretty new to birding - but I did see more than I would have expected.  I found the following:

Nashville Warbler
Palm Warbler (1 female, not 100% sure on this one)
Yellow-Rumped Warbler - many
Warbling Vireo
Baltimore Oriole
Indigo Bunting
and a beautiful Scarlet Tanager

The deciduous trees south of the horse statue seemed to be the most productive.  Thanks for letting me know about the park.

Nice birds! I can't get there today and I'm off to Rondeau and Pelee tomorrow. I'll be curious to see how productive it is next week.
