Good Day again folks.
Today Margaret and I only birded Hanlans Point and a bit of Gibralter Point and again a beautiful Spring day. There were some nice changes from yesterday as we had a small fall out. Following as usual are some of the better birds ( my opinion ) that we found. A good part of them were in the Hanlans ferry dock area.
We did find 15 Warbler species this time out.
Canvasbacks, Cooper's Hawk, 11 Spotted Sandpipers, Sanderling, Least Sandpipers, Semipalmated Plovers, Bonaparte's Gull, Chimney Swifts, Belted Kingfishers, 11 Least Flycatchers, Great Crested Fkycatcher, Eastern Kingbirds, Philadelphia, Red-eyed and Warbling Vireos, Eastern Bluebirds, Veerys, Gray-cheeked and Swainson's Thrushes, Gray Catbirds, Brown Thrashers, 8 Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Purple Martin, Rough-winged Swallows, 5 Orange-crowned Warblers ( well seen, all within 5 minutes ), 19 Nashville Warblers, Chestnut-sided, Cape May, Magnolia, Black-throated blue, Black-throated Green, Blackburnian, and Palm Warblers, American Redstarts, Ovenbirds, 26 White-crowned Sparrows, Chipping Sparrows, Clay-colered Sparrow ( SE corner of airfield fence area ), Vesper Sparrow, Scarlet Tanagers, Indigo Buntings, 14 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, 26 Baltimore Orioles and Bobolinks.
