I am in the market for a new telescope

Unfortunately, my financial resources are limited. I have been using the Bushnell Discoverer, which may not be even available any more. I would like to upgrade a bit having looked through some much better scopes and the difference is like night and day, much more so than the difference between my Mid-price Swift Audubon roof binoculars and the "Alpha" binoculars such as Swarowski et al.

The Stoke's Sandpiper scope, available from Eagle Optics for just over $Can400, has aroused my interest and seems to have received favourable reviews.

Does anybody out there have any opinions about this particular scope or any other scope more or less in that price bracket?

Thanks in advance.

Here's a comment from the review that may help your scope choice.

"An even nicer surprise was the Vortex Stokes Sandpiper, which at $359 or less could be the best buy of any model we tested. "
