Getting off the bus 5pm this past Friday I immediately observed a large BLACK BIRD (**MASS!!) hovering in front of my home - a kite was tangled in the tree in front of my home ***  & immediately recognized a turkey vulture!!!  My 2nd personal up close sighting, what a !@#$%FU!@$#@! magnificent bird!!!  Enormous!!!!!!!!  I  have witnessing a bald eagle fishing some 50 feet away ..in Kapuskasing some years ago ....  this was totally different   what MAGNIFICENT SPECIMEN!!!!!!!!!     [/b]

Birding takes my mind off stuff and it adds good life to a tuff life. It also helps me forget about my spine pain and stress.  Laugh, eat, be merry.  Anybody with extra $ may send me some as It will permit me to travel.

Yeah, they're pretty cool. Up north one day I was hiking and stepped out into this farm field. There were about 20+ Turkey Vultures, some juvenile, some adults, and they got very curious when I appeared. I snapped while standing on the edge under tree cover. Here's one:

5 minutes north of the Humber College Arboretum.   The griffin vulture sure looks interesting.  Must have been a sight.   I still think back & just shake me head when I remember this Vulture circling the tree and checking out a kite that was tangled in the branches.  It probably thought that the kite was an injured bird.  8)
