The web site just got its 10000th post. Did anybody notice? Is there a way to find out who posted it? We should have arranged for a price, ahead of time. :-)

Anyway the forum has grown to be come a great resource, with friendly and helpful users, almost 800 of them. Thanks all!

However, when it comes to reporting, I am of the impression a lot of people I see in the field don't report their sightings here. Are people not aware of the web site, not comfortable reporting, not interested? Something to think about.

Ummm, No.  Oops!    How ironic that I always look just below that number to see "newest registered user".

Is there a way for Andy to figure it out?

This is an excellent forum, always interesting reading and wonderful photos!  I've had the truly great pleasure of spontaneously meeting up on separate occasions with 2 of the members here, "josullivan" (Brendan) and "Margaret" while birding at Riverwood Park.

I always ask birders that I meet if they are part of this forum.  Some people have heard of it but don't seem to have the time - or interest in participating ... their loss!  Other people haven't heard of it but say they will check it out.  Other people are probably too busy with their own personal blog.  Anyhow, that's my two cents worth.

Hello, I'm a very new member and have been enjoying reading the conversations, discussions and fantastic photos posted.  I'm very new at birding and have learned so much from everyone.  I had no idea that Toronto has such a variety of birds and I've lived in Toronto and the GTA all my life!  All I ever see are sparrows, starlings and, of course, gulls in my neighbourhood in Brampton.  Maybe they're not all sparrows and starlings after all!  This is an excellent place for new people like me to learn more about wild birds in our own backyards.  Thank you.
