Hi everybody. Today at Lake Wabukayne, a beautiful male Wood Duck trying to impress a female Mallard at the East end of the lake - she wasn't impressed. In the same area, a female Mallard with 13 ducklings.
Attended the Open House and Free BBQ today at West end of the lake - yummy burgers! The popcorn was pretty good too. All sorts of interesting displays indoors and people from the Toronto Wildlife Centre were there - very interesting and educational!
Had the truly great pleasure of meeting Mario in person for the first time and taking a look through his awesome photos.

Went for an interpretive walk around the lake which was interesting as the guide identified various flowers, trees, etc. Apparently a Green Heron had been sighted earlier.
It was nice to see the box for a local food bank was overflowing with donations from people attending today's event.
