Hi everyone,
I went out to the islands this morning to see the dying days of the migration. Starting at Hanlan's Point to Center Islands.

There were no shorebirds at all on the beach, and generally a slow day, though some good highlights. A savannah sparrow was in the dunes near the beach, very easy to see/hear.

Red Eyed Vireos were plentiful and easy to see, especially in the nature sanctuary, also many Brown Thrashers and a blue grey gnatcatcher were around on Hanlan's. On Hanlan's in the trees near the edge of the airport fence there was at least one Blackpoll Warbler.  In the nature sanctuary (in the brush just north of the large wood piles near the maintenance yard) there was a very vocal but difficult to find Mourning Warbler. He was calling pretty continuously and was occasionally visible.

Other than that, the usual stuff.
