The Mockingbird is still frequenting the area reported June 4 as are the Warblers reported by Whittam. His vocals were limited today to a series of unidentifible chirps and warbles.
This morning at 7:30 a Night Heron was roosting in the taller tree.
A night heron has been seen in this tree for the past 3 springs so it was no surprise to see it this morning, (same bird perhaps?) Best time for viewing is before 8:00a.m. since it takes flight when human activity increases in the area.
