Found a small group pf BCN Heron's by the culvert.

Further along I found a very patient Spotted Sandpiper posing for pics. Didn't realise until later that it was protecting chicks (so I quickly snapped a few and moved on).

Plus found a Northern mockingbird (terrible photo, great memory of it's voice, but it's a first for me).
Couple of redbreasted mergansers in the bay snoozing (waited for them to slowly float towards me.

That's the highlights.

Saw one other person taking pics (around 12.30pm) dressed on cam gear (presumably sweating lots) and waiting in the long grass by some trees.

Nice pics thanks for sharing...Graham we met in High Park I had seen you taking pics and called you over to take some pics of the m&f Wood Ducks I remember the 500mm lens you had..I had the Olympus E3 and 70-300mm- cheers Colin!
