Saw the following:

1 x Great Egret
2 x Great Blue Heron
1 x Greater Yellowlegs
Multiple Lesser Yellowlegs
Multiple Killdeer
Mutliple Spotted Sandpiper
Multiple Peeps
Numerous Immature Gulls

Then went for a bit of a drive and saw:

2 x Great Blue Herons
1 x Osprey
1 x Turkey Vulture
1 x Kestrel
Multiple Crows
1 x Unknown Raptor

All in all a fun day to just be outside, weather was sunny w/ intermittent cloud and no showers.

i dropped by there with my fiancee today at 3:30ish.
what a great little pond!!

10 great white egrets, 3 or 4 great blue herons, a bunch of other birds that I need to look up to see what they are....

Yep, it sure is a nice little place.

I'm sure that the coyotes and fox love it too, judging from the tracks that I've seen over there.

And a note - frogs everywhere.

you can hear the frogs running through the bushes on the southern part of the pathway. was kind of creepy.

i just hope the "future development" signs don't lead to the ruin of the pond.

question for you all....

I drive by there quite a bit...where's the best place to park? Doesn't seem like there is anywhere to park near the pond.

Park where the concrete barriers are. There's a small driveway there. If that's full, you can park across the street, but be careful, the shoulder drops off rather quickly.

What's the directions to this wonderful Pond...I am comming form Tononto Leslieville which is just West of the Beaches...

Hop over and take the DVP Northbound to Hwy 7, then head East until you hit Reesor Rd. and make a right.  You'll be heading south and the pond will be on the right hand side just before the Hwy 407 overpass.

the only "issue" with the pond is the drive from your place. its far east on hwy 7. basically, you are heading to the Toronto Zoo.

but lots to see (they kind of hang out far from people, but still cool to see)
