Great blue heron close-ups - Beechwood pond

I'll post some of my fiancee's pictures later. hers are the really interesting ones - the heron in flight, the heron scratching its head and it pretending to hunt to scare off a blackbird.

i think those are leftover feathers in its beak from preening.
