Hey there Yogi,

The one I found today was at the marsh at Rotary Park which is in southern Ajax.  It is, essentially, the rivermouth of Duffins Creek - nice place to have a picnic and look for birds.  Others I've seen there include Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, and many Caspian Terns.  I also saw an Osprey there today, the only time I've seen one there.

The other place I would consider going to is Kortright Conservation Centre and hopping on the marsh path.  Look along the shorelines, and then pay particular attention to the creek that flows alongside the trail.  I've spotted them both in the open on timber and also hiding in undercut banks.

Hope you manage to find one, they sure are fun to watch.
