Very nice. I'm assuming based on those photos it's possible to get close enough for pictures. Might have to get up there after the next front comes through.

Yes the Beach 4 area is good to shot. A couple of the lookouts let you get close, these were all shot behind the roped area without distruption. The only time they flew is when a merlin swooped in.

Very nice flight shots Paul.

@Greg, Area #4 is good habitat, but you'll have a hard time getting low, since the area is raised up. For a good low angle, you can try getting out into the beach #1, 2 or 3 _early_ in the morning. You have some nice ponds/puddles in the sand, and just park yourself in the sand and let them come to you. You'll likely only have less than 1hr of shooting, since this is the beach for campers/day-use.

Appreciate the info. It certainly looks like this whole area is short on good shorebird spots (photography-wise).
