Just a quick report. Not a lot to see at the Brickworks. Lots of kids, lots of loose dogs.
But...
there was the usual resident - the young, small great blue heron. he was feeding in the middle-back pond with the tall grass around it. in the same pond are two wood ducks.
I saw the ruby throated hummingbird there yesterday, albeit briefly.
Still LOTS of American Goldfinches eating up any yellow or blue flower for the taking.
On the drive home up the Bayview extension, I saw what I THINK is a beautiful red-tailed hawk. quite a big sucker. got some pictures of it on a telephone wire and will post those later.

I was there early this morning and saw the GBH in the tiny marsh and the one immediately west (I think) of it.  Got some shots, but was hard through the bullrushes.  He didn't go out in the open, as I've seen him previously.  Unfortunately, I did not see any wood ducks :(.  There were lots of goldfinches, Eastern Kingbird and others I'm not too sure about.  Not very many people when you go early!
