I was in Long Point at the cottage for the week and decided to visit hawk cliff on Sept 15.  Before we left i saw a Golden Eagle on the Beach, a first.  We stayed from 10-11:30 am.   It was crazy.  We  saw a peregrine, about 50-60 sharp shined, a bald eagle, 10 redtails and about 4500 broadwing hawks.  Yes 4500.  I checked the count on the website. We were standing right beside the counter who was very nice and helpful teaching us about hawks.   An awesome place to go.

Great you had such a good day. The official counter was my "raptor mentor". I say he taught me everything I know,to which he jokes "but not everything I know!" The shear volume of birds is amazing there!
How were the sightlines? I know Colin was worried the corn in the field would be very high and folks would have a hard time.

Can someone tell me where Hawk Cliff is?  I'm looking for a side trip tomorrow. Thank you!
