Bald Eagle - Sam Smith Park

I saw a first year Bald Eagle soaring slowly by Sam Smith Park this evening.

I know there have been quite a few seen at the hawk watches lately, but 2 things seemed odd about this one:  
It was late - about 7pm.
It was out over the lake.  It was near shore when I first spotted it, but several hundred metres out when I stopped watching.

Well, it was a young one.  Maybe they pay as much attention to parental advice as young humans. :wink:

Had a nice long look at an adult perched in a dead pine in Glen Williams last week.......sat there for quite a while.

A surprising treat to say the least......

I've heard about other sitings here, will have to keep my eyes open more. Would that have been on the north end of The Glen?

The Bald Eagle was sitting in that 100 ft. dead pine tree on the north edge of the Credit River. (just west / northwest of 10th Line & 22nd Sideroad)

Hey Folks,
Is this the Col. Sam Smith Park in Etobicoke at the base of Kipling?
If not, where is this park located.
