YogiStewart: Sorry I didn't see your message earlier. We were on the east side of the park. There is a walkway that passes the memorial to the Air India passengers. If you continue past there there is a marsh/pond on the north side of the walkway and a small creek on the south side. The ducks were all in the pond on the north side. You can get right in there at several access points for good viewing. - several photographers were there. I am now convinced I need some sort of "camo gear". On the very east side of this water, there is a path that goes right around (thru some shrubbery!) and you get a great view. The male hooded merganser seemed to stay on the east side of this path (which I think is really the Lake), while the others were in the smaller pond. Unfortunately, they still seemed just too far away for me and my 400 lens! I plan on trying again.
