Blustery day at Humber Bay

[What was that?]

Wind speeds rather high, kept away from as many high trees as possible.
Apart from that I was fortunate to see a Great Blue Heron, Great Egret, Sparrows (white throated probably - one of the reasons I take photographs, little devils won't stay still), Canada Geese, mute swans, hooded merganser - M, Gadwalls, Green Winged Teal (and or American Widgeons, chekc the ID page and help me out, wifey says I need professional help), herring gull, Am Goldfinch, Northern Cardinal, and some sort of flycatcher.
Loved the walk nevertheless.

we went there today based on your post and the pictures on the photo page.
saw the egret and two herons on the southern pond. lots of ducks, a female hooded merganser (i think) or two, some warblers (hard to tell which kind. pictures will be posted later). lots of swans, some goldfinches, etc.

probably one of the few good places now in Toronto to see birds other than raptors.
