This morning I saw a Red-shouldered Hawk flying low above me. A very nice treat, a first for me. Other birds this morning and yesterday were Sharp-shinned Hawk, Turkey Vulture, both Kinglets, Brown Creeper, Hermit Thrush, Eastern Phoebe, close to 100 Blue Jays. And the large flocks of American Crows have just arrived, so the winter is here....

Today I saw another new species for me, 2 Orange-crowned Warblers. Thanks Moira for the picture in the Bird ID forum and Iain for the ID. It really helped me on the right track.

Thomas,
I saw a Brown Creeper for the first time last weekend in Thickson's Woods.  I took a few pictures, but the lighting was poor.  I have been back and haven't been able to spot it again.  Is it a bird that will winter here?

A few stay over the winter, but most you see during spring (april) and fall (sept/oct) migration.
