Hello all,
I hope your enjoying the beauty and calmness of fall in Ontario. I had a short but great walk to work this morning in the Yonge and Steeles area. As I was leaving my home, I witnessed a young Cooper's Hawk hunting a flock of pigeons that live near Centrepoint mall. On the sidestreets behind the mall, I saw 2 noisy Red-breasted nuthatches following me along the sidewalk in some tall trees, as well as a Downy woodpecker with extremely bright red on his head doing his morning tree-shopping.
It was a great reminder of the birds that will reside in my neighborhood during the colder months.
