After a long weekend of dancing and partying, back to birds of the feathered variety.
My highlights at Rotary Park
- lots of green winged teal

-Ring billed gulls as well as a couple of large gulls of at least two other types (recent postings by others were of Black Backed gull other may be a Herring gull- see Bird ID). Looks almost larger than the geese.

-Hudsonian Godwit (it was interesting watching the ring-bills following it, presumably hoping to steal it’s findings, it stayed close to the bridge, so I was able to get a great view

-lots of juncos (check this one out - reminiscent of Jim Carrey - The Mask) any comments as to why?

- lots of white throated sparrows

- lots of red-breasted nuthatches making a lot of noise (no pics)

It took me all year to finally see the Great Horned Owl in Thicksons woods and i just seen him recently as well and i have hiked there countless times.

Great pics i espcecially like the Junco the way he is eyeing that piece of food or whatever it is
