Hey Yall, First post!
I've recently returned to the Toronto area (High Park) after living in Edinburgh for the last 2 years and I have loved the bird diversity I have been able to photograph in my short time back. Below are some images I've been able to capture in the last couple weeks.
The first 4 images were captured in High Park during various excursions in the southeast of the area. The following 3 images were taken at Pumpkinfest in Port Elgin during the first weekend of October. It was great cause I was able to set up quite close to where the birds were placed before they flew to the instructor. As a result I was able to get some sweet portrait images from some elusive species. And the final 2 shots were taken at Mountsberg Conservation Area - which is awesome to see some big birds we'd be lucky to see in the wild at close proximity.
Here they are:

Black Capped Chicadee

Cardinal

Norther Shoveler (Female)

Wood Duck

Golden Eagle

Harris Hawk

Barn Owl

Bald Eagle

Barred Owl

Anyway, hope you like them and let me know what you think.

Cheers,
Rory

Hi Rory, welcome to the forum.  :)

Awesome photos!  I can't even pick one favourite as they are all spectacular.  The male Wood Duck is truly "Wow!".

Very nice pics Rory.  The male wood duck pics are stellar.  I haven't had the good fortune to get such a close-up.
