i have an identical bufflehead post that i took last weekend.

yes yogi.the bufflehead colours are amazing,given, the right light.
sorry about the spiders,misty! LOL.  i do love my macro-photography also,and i find spiders scary,and fascinating,at the same time.

Awesome photos!  Your second "Unknown Spider" photo really freaks me out (meant in a good way :D).  That photo should be on a poster for some scary spider movie!  :lol:

LOL. thanks jo-anne! isn,t he cute! i seen him on the back deck,and the chase was on(hadn,t had my first coffee yet) this guy would of gave  BEN JOHNSON a run for his money whitout the "cheetah" LOL. i put him through a photo-session,and released him in the garden.with insects,you never run out of subjects,as they make up 75%,of all living things on earth.is it the 8 eyes watching you,that freaks you out,or the long fangs?

no never seen it,although,i,ve had nightmares along those lines.you never really see what these guys really look like,till you photograph them up close!
