So I have been sick with a stomache virus since thursday  :( which I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Yesterday as I was finally feeling good enough to eat something and was getting a bowl of some homemade chicken soup I saw a backyard friend that was hungrier than I was! Def. made me smile and I was able to capture a few shots through the window.
This def. made me feel a lot better as I was upset I was missing good birding days and low and behold they decided to visit me instead!  :D

Thanks Denis, it was really fun to see him or her stalking out our yard. This happened last winter for us as well, so we must be it's winter home. Def. a good looking bird, was very humerous watching the house sparrows fly into the bird house and the hawk trying to figure out how to get in. lol

Nice pictures Misty.  You're having me second guess my posting of a cooper's hawk.  They look so similar.  But yours does look smaller than the bird i got photos of

I hope you're feeling better!  Drink lots of water to flush the "yuk" out of you.

Great sharpie photos.

Crystal,

Glad to see this guy/girl? has returned to your "backyard buffet" again this year.
Nice shots, and so convenient!!
Maybe I'll just bring my camera and sit on your couch and look for birds, instead of going outside in the cold.
Brrrr. Winter is here.
.Meghan.
