Good evening.
Spent a few hours on Hanlans Point today and among other birds I found the Sedge Wren that Alfred Adamo reported yesterday. It was at the south end of the Island Airfield fence. A very co-operative bird that sat on the fence and posed.
Other bird found were 2 Osprey, N. Harrier, 12 sharp-shinned Hawks, 2 Cooper's hawks, 3 A. Kestrels, 2 Peregrine Falcons, 1 Caspian Tern (a surprise), 22 Y-B Sapsuckers, 11 E. Phoebes, Hermit Thrush, 10 G. Catbirds, Blue-headed Vireo, 11 Winter Wrens, many Ruby-crowned and Golden-crowned Kinglets, Orange-crowned, Nashville, Magnolia, Black-throated blue, and Palm Warblers, A. Redstart, Common Yellowthroat, Song, Lincoln's, Swamp, Chipping, Field, White-crowned, and White-throated Sparrows, and A. Pipit.
All of the above birds and more were found on Hanlans Point.
