went to presquile pp after working nights friday morning, and almost turned around a couple of times due to heavy snow,on the way.i,m glad i didn,t.conditions were not very good, light wise, but a tripod, and low ISO did the trick.saw, and photographed 3 barred owls, and got my best RTH pics yet.

i included a " fuzzy eyelids  " shot!

thanks guys.
i,m really happy with the way the photos turned out, especially the first ones.it was cloudy, and snowing at times, but with the tripod set up,at a low ISO setting, for image quality,i was able to play with exposure compensation,to get the right light on the owl, with shutter speed beeing a non-factor.

Great find again Denis..
Isn't PPP awesome!!
It's kind of far, but I think totally worth it.
It's almost 200KM for me to go, but I've been there once a week for over a month now and have never been disappointed.
Always something to see.
I see your luck is holding out as well.
Great shots here.

thanks steve,meghan,and yogi.
i absolutely love that park, and have never been disapointed also meghan.it,s far enough, but well worth it.yogi,i also love the natural perch(broken tree),that owl was sitting on,with the snow falling heavily at the time.he was hunting, and i saw him swoop down to catch a vole, right after that shot.hummm..... a move to brighton would be nice, and that much closer to amherst!

Excellent shots Denis.  I love the colour the tree brings in, so #2 is a favourite and have to agree that #4 is wonderful.  I'm contemplating Amherst Island again on Saturday and if I'm quick, Presquile on the way home.  Who knows?

Denis, I hear you about the weekend.  It's very difficult for me to get a day off during the week, which would definitely be better.  That week off at Christmas sure was nice!  We'll see ...
