i,ve just finished reading an excellent book, called WESLEY THE OWL,by stacey o,brien.she was a biologist at cal-tech labs in california, doing owl research,in particular barn owls,in 1985,when she adopted a couple of days old barn owl chick.it had nerve damage in a wing,so would not of made it in the wild.she raised it,and lived with it,till the owl died at a ripe old age of 19 years old.it,s a very good read, with lots of owl facts, and very humourous at times.a must read, for all you bird lovers out there.
