While visiting a friend
I saw a hawk right
in the tree outside window

Cummer and Willowdale Avenue Area

Now, the chest on the hawk was
reddish
but this could be a Coopers Hawk
could it not?

It only stayed but a minute
and left

but I had my binoculars right there
in the room

Yes- it could be a Coopers or it could be a Sharp-shinned Hawk

We have been feeding birds since our cat passed away last year and our back yard is full of birds daily; doves, juncos, cardinal couple, blue J, starlings, finches, squirrels, etc...   We spotted a hawk flying by just above our house , at roof height, only he was VERY fast so we could get a glimpse until he landed right on our gosh darn fence!!!

All red.

Birding takes my mind off stuff and it adds good life to a tuff life. It also helps me forget about my spine pain and stress.  Laugh, eat, be merry.  Anybody with extra $ may send me some as It will permit me to travel.
