a few duck photos taken yesterday from both locations.i was hoping to find the coots,but no such luck.

would of been better if the sun was out.these guys were far enough out,and bobbing up and down between these big waves.tough to capture,as both ann,and i,tried till we froze.

Yes your are right if the sun was out you would of had a national geopgraphic shot of that Harlie.
As for American Coots try lasalle marina in burlington (hamilton harbour). It has several coots there in with the 100s of mallards.
Also Bald Eagles ala over the place. bring your binoc and your camera. Eagles like to sit on the ice there.

Welcome to my next of the woods Denis.
I drive hundres of mile a week looking for birds, when I know there are some amazing ones 5 minutes from my house.
Your shots have inspired me to cross the street and check out what is going on at the Lake.

ann. i,m looking for a 400 f/5.6 for flight shots,so if you know anyone that has one.... i,ll sell my 300 f/4 or trade for trade.
