I am trying to determine the type of hawk this is. I'm thinking Marsh Hawk.
Whilst this one was sitting perched on this branch out my back, another hawk, looking quite smaller flew in from the meadow and perched nearby this one for about 10 minutes. Then flew off. They were eyeing each other.
Sorry, no photo of the other one, as it had a number of branches in front of it and kept its back to us for the most part.

The barred breast on your pic would indicate a Red Tailed Hawk.

Nice capture. It is indeed a Eastern Adult Red-tailed Hawk.

I agree it is a Red-tailed Hawk, but the fourth photo shows a light coloured iris and there are narrow bands on the tail, so it is a juvenile, not an adult.
