This afternoon on a short walk around Solina I spotted several interesting birds abd of course the usual suspects: goldfinch, chickadees, juncos, blue jays, american tree and house sparrows.

There was a red-tail circling low overhead. A male and female hairy woodpecker. Two male house finches and a male and female cardinal.

The first surprise was a female red-bellied woodpecker. A very pleasant surprise... and at a nearby feeder I spotted two female pine grosbeaks... strangely enough the only other ones I've ever seen were in Solina last winter.

Happy birding.

some nice finds

The RBWOs have had a small population in Solina area for 10+ years. They tend to favour the area around the end of Werry road (1st road west of solina).

Can I ask where the PIne Grosbeaks are.

Cheers
