I tried to grab my camera but they were already gone. Saw 2 VERY small, pettite beautiful birds at our feeder today -

Smaller than a Junco, practicaly no tail, blue, red, bright on back, flew VERY quickly....

Any ideas?   Warbler??

Birding takes my mind off stuff and it adds good life to a tuff life. It also helps me forget about my spine pain and stress.  Laugh, eat, be merry.  Anybody with extra $ may send me some as It will permit me to travel.

There aren't too many red and blue birds out there.

The only one I can think of is Eastern Bluebird, but it's bigger than a Junco.
Or Painted Bunting, but if you saw them in Ontario that's not very likely.

I'm with Napper's first choice. Your description made me think of Red-breasted Nuthatch. Lovely little birds and regular feeder visitors.
