Goals for 2010

Just curious to see what we photographers have set as our goals as far as capturing images this year are?

I know for me it is as follows:

1.  To capture more feeding sequences;
2.  to get more bird interaction shots, such as harrassment; and finally
3.  to only focus on birds in flight rather than static shots.

I love bif shots, so my goal this year is to finally get a sharp shot of a Kingfisher in flight.
I've got many before but nothing I was really pleased with it.

everything you guy said,and i want to introduce,fill flash,with an off camera flash,hot shoe cable,and flash bracket for the tripod,especially for those sometimes unavoidable,back lit birds.
we should plan to meet throughout the summer,and maybe have a few work shops,to share our knowledge,and learn from the more experieced photographers.it would be a great time.

My goals are:

1.  See and photograph as many new species as possible.
2.  Learn post-processing techniques.
3.  Learn technique for BIFs
4.  Increase times shooting in manual mode. (yes!  I don't shoot in manual mode

I'd love to take part in it, so long as it doesn't fall on an air show weekend!!

i already met two of my goals in the late fall:
learn which shutter, ISO and f-stop settings work best to shoot birds, and figure out how to set up my camera (its setup menu for optimal results.
my most recent goal that i'm working on is post-production perfection. picked up some tips 3 months ago that really helped with the final product (and am resisting the urge to go through my previously-posted pictures to clean them up) and today I learned how to sharpen a subject's eye to really make it pop.

i suggest going out to the Spit in April to shoot some warblers and such

Hi All I am new here and never been to the Spit planning to go Sunday and would like to know the best place there to see the Saw-Whet owls. Any help would be appreciated.
