As I now know the first is a "Bibbed Mallard" . The second hung around with him and I assume it's also a hybrid (female?)
Moira .. I think this is the one that eluded you (was in the rushes) in an earlier post.

Yes --Denis I saw  your pics  ... very nice.  We didn't see the Pintail that Moira reported.
Is that light coloured one a hybrid also?
I have a pic of one that's completely beige (at La Salle I think). I'll find it and post and see what everyone thinks  .. I thought it's an Albino.

yes i think it is.
there are a number of those light coloured female mallards around.lasalle,cobourg,whitby,etc....
