Greetings to all :D

Stopped off at the "Woods" today to try my luck for the Pileated, added another big "L" to my forhead again, but came out with some local birds instead.
The Kestrel was taken at Downsveiw Airport.

Enjoy

Clemens,

I have been to Lampton Woods many times over the last few years and have only seen the Pileated's twice.
I have spoken to a couple who have walked those woods everyday for the past 20 years and THEY have only seen a few pairs a handful of times. So don't be discouraged, you still have a few years of striking out to go.  Kidding.
Same with the Eastern Screech Owls, they are very common in those woods. I've heard them at dusk but never seen one.
Talked to the same couple and they've had the same experience as myself.
Wait till you see one of the albino gray squirrels. Now that's a sight.
Good luck.
Your "local bird" pictures are wonderful.
Thanks for sharing these.
