Is this a Philadelphia Vireo ?  -- taken Aug. 1/09  Looked and looked and could not come up with a defintive ID.

This is a little more difficult because its a young bird but I'd go with Red-eyed because of the white breast and extensive white above and behind the eye.  I don't believe the eye turns red until the bird has matured.

Was this bird seen in Mississauga?

Thanks  ... you are probably correct.  Agree that it looks like a very young bird which makes ID challenging.   It was taken last August near Thunder Bay.
