Well it took me 2 months but I finally tracked down the Winter Wren, I thought hummers were challenging to photograph this bird is not much bigger and I had to get in the mud but it was worth it lol, lots of birds out, many RWBB, first time ever for me the Brown Headed Cowbird, also 2 lovel pairs of Northern Shovellers I only say one pair last year...no more Wood Duck have not seen him for about a month, oh also saw and heard a few Song Sparrows.... some pics below enjoy!!!

Thanks, the Shoveler's are right on the shorline, the pond where everyone was skating...the Cowbirds were a big surprise for me I thought they were always up north in cottage country, guess they are passing through with all the RWBB...

Nice going Colin ... great Shoveller shots.  Love the Winter Wren.  There were many brownheaded cowbirds at my feeders both male and female for most of last summer - south Mississauga near Oakville.

thanks... reg the Brown headed cowbirds..it was a thrill for me to see them in High Park...I think they must be with all the RWBB and I missed them last year...I though I had one at me feeder last year but they were immature Grackles...the Shovelers are quite a beautiful duck, can't wait to catch them on a sunny day!
