Like i said in my previous post he rips out the intestines, then he rips off the head and then he swallows the body whole.
Hmmmm tasty.  In the last pic.  Talon Lickin Good.  After each meal he cleaned and licked his talons.

You weren't kidding about the gore - quite the capture for you.  Is that a membrane of some sort over his eyes in one of the shots?  I've noticed that before in other shots.

Thanks for the comments.  Yes the membrane is to protect the eye.  Even sharks have it so when they go in for the kill the eye cannot be damaged by the struggling prey.  Hawks have three eyelids the upper, the lower and this one called the nictitating membrane.  It also cleans the eye.  It is semi transparent so i wonder if they can still see through it.

Super shots .. good that you posted them.  I have a similar series with a RTH eating a frog.   Bad lighting so shots not worth posting.
