The beautiful Harlequin Duck offered myself and several others exceptional views this morning at Humber Bay Park east. The male and two females were easily spotted very close to the shoreline and at one point the drake hopped on to a rock quite close to us. Also spotted were many Buffleheads, Song Sparrows, m & f Wood Ducks, Long-tailed Ducks and countless Red Wings. We also saw what I think are two beavers although, to be honest, I did not get a really clear view of their tails.
