Cool, I was there as well, saw the sandhill cranes and the woodpecker ^_^
on our way back we stop by Cootes paradise, saw an osprey diving in for fish......but kind of sad to see the water level is so low..... :(

Nice capture of the sandhills but i think i would have rather you had the coyote eating the easter bunny.  Now that would have been a good pic.

Excellent capture. Love the sandhills.

I am planning on going there on Sunday. Could youlet me know where the best spots are, so that we dont miss anything. First time there. Definitely will try stop at the Cootes paradise

Hello niani, I was there yesterday for the first time. and the long point park was closed (good Friday), however, you can still go into the trail. (therefore I am not sure if they will open on Easter Sunday)

There is a place to watch waterfowls along on highway 59, if you go south on highway 59, there is a watchtower on your
right handside, if you walk along the path, you will reach another watchtower, there's the place I see sandhill cranes.

Other birders, please correct me if I am wrong.
