Hi
Can one of the forum experts help with the ID of this bird.
Looked like a meadowlark.
This was the best ic ould get. Heavily cropped and exposure jacked up. so a lot of noise.

Yep! Definitly a Northern Flicker. Can't tell if it is Red Shafted or Yellow Shafted.

generally the Red Shafted Flickers are on the west coast, while the Yellow Shafted are on the east
