the kestrels were out in full force. i saw 2 or 3 of them. two were hunting in the growth area near the parking lot. when i arrived, one just caught a snake and was being chased around by a red-winged blackbird. i only got one OK picture of it.
i also watched the 2 kestrels try to woo each other but did not stick around for the sexytime.
