I know this sort of looks like a red tailed hawk but it seemed smaller and darker than I normally see and the head in other shots did not seem right.
There is something on its right leg that suggests a band or maybe a jess?? It seemed not that much bigger than a coopers hawk. Any suggestions on ID and anybody loose a hawk?? it could just be a band but the circle on his leg looks dark
