I spent this past weekend up in Pt. Loring and again came across some nice birds:
Highlights included:
2 pairs of wood ducks
common loon
1 red-shouldered hawk
8-10 yellow-bellied sapsuckers, several drumming on barbecues... seems the male of the species is 'smart' like the males of ours when it comes to showing off for the ladies
3 belted kingfishers
2 cooper's hawks
2 ravens- one that flew within ten feet of me... a truly impressive bird
1 male hairy woodpecker
1 kestrel
2 broadwinged hawks
1 Northern goshawk
