Headed to the city yesterday, so pumped to bird Leslie Spit when I quickly realized the Park isn't open on Weekdays  After seeing so many great pictures from Col. Sam Smith, my wife and decided to visit the Park for the first time and was not disappointed. Right away we picked up our first Warbler of the season,  have been waiting over two weeks for one, in a Yellow Warbler. Other migrants seen were; BC Night Herons, a singing Brown Thrasher, Savannah and Field Sparrows, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Common Tern, Gadwalls, Pie-billed and Red-necked Grebes. The pair of RN Grebes were so cooperative and close to shore I actually had to pull back on the zoom on the camera, doesn't happen too often

We then headed to High Park, only one notable migrant spotted there in a lone YR Warbler. We did have some great sessions with our first Goslings of the year, local advised us that they were less than 48 hours old, so cute and fuzzy and barley able to walk around and of course many Wood Ducks giving excellent views.  A full report of the day along with pictures to come on the blog and I'll post some more pics in photo section later today as the weather may keep us inside today :(  Have a great weekend.
