Lots of bird on the Spit today. I spent the morning at Pipit point and the afternoon in the Base woods. 61 species all together for the day with highlights including Red-throated loons, Surf scoters, a late Iceland gull, Bobolinks, Rose-breasted grosbeak, and 6 warbler species. Lots of sparrows, white-throated in the hundreds and plenty of Field and Swamp sparrows too.
